Francisco Javier Fernández Torrejón, known as Francisco Fernández, is a former Chilean football player who made significant contributions to the sport during his career. Born in Chile, he developed a passion for football at a young age, which led him to pursue a professional career in the sport.

Career

Fernández began his professional journey with Club Social y Deportivo Colo Colo, where he played from 1992 to 1998. During his time at Colo Colo, he achieved notable success, winning the Primera División de Chile three times in 1996, 1997 Clausura, and 1998, as well as the Copa Chile in 1994. After his successful stint at Colo Colo, he had brief spells with several clubs, including Deportes Temuco, Santiago Morning, and Club Deportes La Serena. He also ventured abroad to play for Mito HollyHock in Japan in 2003. In addition to his club career, Fernández represented the Chile men's national football team in 2000 and was also part of the national U-20 team.
