Биография

Early Life

Per Billeskov Krøldrup was born in Farsø, Denmark, where he began his football journey at local clubs Farsø/Ullits IK and Aalborg Chang. His talent soon led him to B.93, a club in Copenhagen, where he played in the second-tier Danish 1st Division before making a significant leap to the Italian Serie A with Udinese in 2001.

Club Career

Krøldrup's time at Udinese was marked by success, culminating in a fourth-place finish that qualified the team for the UEFA Champions League. In June 2005, he transferred to Everton F.C. for £5 million. Unfortunately, his stint at Everton was marred by injury; he underwent surgery before even playing a match and made only one league appearance, which was later deemed one of the worst transfers in the club's history. In January 2006, he returned to Italy, joining ACF Fiorentina. His tenure at Fiorentina was tumultuous due to the 2006 Serie A scandal, but the club successfully appealed their relegation, allowing Krøldrup to continue playing in Serie A.

International Career

Krøldrup's international career began later than expected; despite being recognized for his potential as early as 2002, he did not debut for the Denmark national team until February 2004 against Turkey. He was part of the squad for the 2004 European Championship, although he did not see any game time during the tournament. His international appearances continued until 2010, contributing to Denmark's football legacy.
