Career

Émerson's career spanned over a decade, during which he played for several clubs both in Brazil and abroad. After his time at Portuguesa, he had a notable stint with São Paulo FC from 2001 to 2002, contributing to the team's success. In 2003, he ventured to Japan to play for Shimizu S-Pulse, before moving to Portugal to join C.F. Os Belenenses. His career also included brief periods at Paraná Clube, Botafogo F.R., and Associação Atlética Ponte Preta. Notably, in 2000, Émerson represented the Brazil national team, participating in three matches, including a crucial game against Bolivia during the 2002 World Cup qualification.
