Abdeljalil Hadda

Early Life

Abdeljalil Hadda, often affectionately known as Kamatcho, was born in Meknes, Morocco. His passion for football emerged early, leading him to join the local club COD Meknès, where he began his professional career in 1992. Over the next four years, he honed his skills and established himself as a promising forward.

Career

In 1996, Hadda made a significant move to Al Ittihad FC in Saudi Arabia, marking the start of an international career. After a brief stint in Tunisia with Club Africain, he transitioned to Europe, signing with Real Sporting de Gijón in Spain in 1998. During his time in Spain, he played in the Segunda División and was even loaned to Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan for a short period in 2000. After returning to Club Africain for another season, he returned to Morocco, where he played for COD Meknès again before retiring in 2004 at the age of 32.

Hadda also had a notable international career, representing the Morocco national team from 1996 to 2002. He earned 41 caps and scored 19 goals, including a memorable performance at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where he scored twice in three matches. He also participated in the African Cup of Nations in 1998 and 2000, showcasing his talent on a continental stage.
