Hase made her mark as a goalkeeper for the Japan women's national football team. Her international career began in June 1981 when she was selected to represent Japan at the 1981 AFC Championship. This tournament was significant as it marked Japan's first participation in an International A Match. Hase debuted on June 7, 1981, in a match against Chinese Taipei, where she showcased her skills as a goalkeeper. During the championship, she played in two matches, but the team faced a tough challenge in September when they played against Italy, suffering a historic defeat of 0–9, which remains the largest loss in the history of the Japan national team. Overall, Hase played three games for Japan in 1981, contributing to the early development of women's football in the nation.
