Daniel Svensson

Svensson was born in Stockholm and started playing football at age four at the local club Irsta IF before he moved to other Swedish clubs, namely Siljebo and Brommapojkarna. Svensson began his senior career with IF Brommapojkarna in 2020 before joining Danish Superliga club FC Nordsjælland later that year. He established himself in Nordsjælland´s first team, making more than 120 league appearances for the club before joining Dortmund on a loan. On 3 February 2025, Svensson joined Borussia Dortmund in Germany on loan from Nordsjælland with an option to buy. On 20 April, he scored his first goal for Dortmund in a 3–2 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach. After a successful loan spell, he joined on a permanent contract on 14 May 2025. Later that year, on 1 October, he netted his first UEFA Champions League goal in a 4–1 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Svensson made his full international debut for the Sweden national team on 14 October 2024, replacing Yasin Ayari in the 89th minute of a UEFA Nations League game against Estonia which Sweden won 3–0. On 12 May 2026, Svensson was called up for the Swedish squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
