Henny Ingemar Meijer is a former Dutch footballer known for his role as a forward. Born in the Netherlands, he began his football journey at a young age, showcasing his talent early on in local clubs.

Career

Meijer's professional career kicked off at SC Telstar in 1983, where he played until 1984. He then moved to FC Volendam (1984-1985) and Roda JC Kerkrade (1985-1987), where he honed his skills and made a name for himself. In 1987, he joined the prestigious AFC Ajax, marking a significant milestone in his career. After a brief stint, he continued to play for FC Groningen (1988-1993), where he further established his reputation in Dutch football.

In the early 1990s, Meijer took his talents abroad, playing for Tokyo Verdy in Japan in 1993. He returned to the Netherlands to play for SC Heerenveen (1994-1995) and had spells at SC Cambuur (1993-1994), De Graafschap (1996), and SC Veendam (1996-1998). Throughout his career, he also represented the Netherlands national team in 1987.
