Kadohara's professional career began with Matsushita Electric Panasonic Bambina, where she showcased her skills as a midfielder. Her talent on the field was recognized when she was selected for the Best Eleven in 1994, a testament to her outstanding performance during that season.

In December 1993, Kadohara was called up to represent the Japan women's national football team for the 1993 AFC Championship. She made her debut on December 4, 1993, against Chinese Taipei. Over the years, she continued to contribute to the national team, participating in significant tournaments such as the 1994 Asian Games, the 1995 AFC Championship, the 1995 FIFA Women's World Cup, and the 1996 Summer Olympics.
