Kiril Metkov is a former Bulgarian professional footballer known for his role as an attacking midfielder. Born in Bulgaria, he began his football journey in the early 1980s, showcasing his talent on the field from a young age.

Career

Metkov's professional career took off at FC Lokomotiv 1929 Sofia, where he played from 1983 to 1991. His impressive performances earned him a transfer to PFC CSKA Sofia, where he played from 1992 to 1993, contributing to the team's success by winning the Bulgarian League in the 1991-92 season and the Bulgarian Cup in the 1992-93 season. After his stint at CSKA Sofia, he briefly played for PFC Slavia Sofia in 1996 before moving abroad to Gamba Osaka in Japan, where he played from 1993 to 1994. Additionally, Metkov represented the Bulgaria men's national football team from 1989 to 1993, earning caps and showcasing his skills on an international level.
