Marcos Paulo Alves da Costa, known simply as Marcos Paulo, was born in Brazil in 1977. He developed a passion for football at a young age, which led him to pursue a career in the sport. His talent was evident early on, and he quickly made a name for himself as a promising midfielder.

Career

Marcos Paulo's professional career began at Cruzeiro E.C., where he played from 1996 to 2001. His performances caught the attention of several European clubs, leading to stints at Udinese Calcio, Sporting CP, and Maccabi Haifa F.C. Despite showing great potential, he faced challenges and eventually returned to Brazil, where he played for various clubs, including Guarani Futebol Clube and Associação Portuguesa de Desportos. He also had a brief loan spell at Yokohama FC in Japan in 2007, followed by a move to Shimizu S-Pulse later that year.
