Masanao Sasaki

Early Life

Masanao Sasaki was born on June 19, 1962, in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. He pursued his education at Kokushikan University, where he honed his skills in football, setting the stage for his future career in the sport.

Career

Sasaki began his professional journey in football by joining Honda FC in 1984, where he played until 1991. His time at Honda FC was marked by significant development as a midfielder, showcasing his talent on the field. In 1991, he transitioned to Yokohama Flügels, where he continued to make his mark until 1992. Following this, he played for JEF United Chiba from 1992 to 1993 and had a brief stint with Kashiwa Reysol in 1994 before retiring from professional football later that year.

In addition to his club career, Sasaki was also a key player for the Japan men's national football team. He made his debut on June 2, 1988, against China and went on to represent Japan in various international matches, including the 1990 World Cup qualification and the 1990 Asian Games. Over his international career, he played a total of 20 matches for Japan between 1988 and 1991, contributing to the team's development on the global stage.
