Mohamed Abdulrahman

Abdulrahman was eligible to represent Yemen through his Yemeni nationality and Saudi Arabia through his birthplace. However, he chose to represent the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where he was residing. In 2007, he was granted his Emirati passport alongside his brother Omar, who represented the UAE youth national team that year. Following his naturalization, Abdulrahman was officially registered as an Emirati player at club level, changing his international eligibility from Yemen to the UAE. Abdulrahman received his first call-up to the UAE national team in 2010 and made his international debut on 9 October of that year, coming on as a substitute in a friendly match against Chile. He represented the UAE until 2019, making 43 appearances for the national team. He was also a member of the UAE squad that finished third at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.
