Career

Yoshimizu began his professional football journey in 1969 when he joined Furukawa Electric, now known as JEF United Chiba. During his time with the club, he made a significant impact, playing in 53 league matches and scoring 6 goals before retiring in 1972. His skills on the field earned him a spot on the Japan men's national football team, where he made his debut on July 31, 1970, in a match against Hong Kong. Over the course of that year, he played 4 games and netted 1 goal for his country, contributing to the early development of Japanese football on the international stage.
