Early Life

Yūgo Tatsuta is a Japanese footballer known for his role as a defender. His journey in professional football began when he joined the Shimizu S-Pulse first team ahead of the 2017 season, marking the start of his career in the J.League.

Career

Tatsuta made his professional debut on March 15, 2017, in a J.League Cup match against Kashiwa Reysol. He quickly established himself in the team, making his league debut on February 25, 2018, against Kashima Antlers, where he played the full 90 minutes in an unfamiliar right-back position. Just a week later, on March 3, 2018, he scored his first professional goal against Vissel Kobe, showcasing his potential as a key player for Shimizu S-Pulse. Over the years, he continued to be a regular starter, contributing significantly to the team's performance.

On November 30, 2022, Tatsuta transferred to Kashiwa Reysol, where he made his league debut on February 18, 2023. His career took another turn when he was announced as a permanent transfer to Fagiano Okayama on December 27, 2024.

International Career

Tatsuta's international career began to flourish when he was called up to the Japan national team for the 2018 Asian Games, where he was recognized as one of the best players of the tournament. He made his debut for the national team on June 20, 2019, during the Copa América against Uruguay, coming on as a substitute in the closing minutes of the match. His selection for these prestigious events highlights his growing reputation in Japanese football and his contributions to the national squad.
