Ľubomír Luhový

Early Life

Ľubomír Luhový was born in 1967 in Slovakia, where he would go on to become a prominent figure in football. His journey in the sport began at a young age, and he quickly developed a passion for the game that would shape his future.

Career

Luhový's professional career took off in 1985 when he joined FK Púchov, marking the start of a diverse and successful journey through various clubs. He played for several teams, including FK Inter Bratislava, where he spent a significant portion of his career, and FC Spartak Trnava. His international career was equally impressive, representing both the Czechoslovakia national team from 1990 to 1993 and the Slovakia national team from 1995 to 1998. Luhový was known for his skills as a forward, and he achieved notable success, including being the top goalscorer in the Slovak Superliga during the 1997-98 season with 17 goals.

After his playing days, Luhový transitioned into management and served as the sporting director of Třinec, contributing to the development of football in Slovakia. His extensive experience in both playing and management has made him a respected figure in the sport.
