Chiaki Minamiyama

Early Life

Chiaki Minamiyama was born on October 16, 1985, in Ichikawa, Japan. Her journey in football began at a young age, leading her to join a youth team that would set the stage for her professional career.

Club Career

Minamiyama's professional career took off in 2003 when she joined Nippon TV Beleza, where she played until 2010. Her time at the club was marked by significant development as a midfielder, showcasing her skills and contributing to the team's success. In 2011, she made a move to INAC Kobe Leonessa, continuing to hone her craft until the end of the 2016 season. Seeking new challenges, she joined the Korean WK League club Hwacheon KSPO in June 2017. After a stint abroad, she returned to Japan in 2019 to play for Orca Kamogawa FC.

National Team Career

Minamiyama also made her mark on the international stage, debuting for the Japan women's national football team on May 8, 2010, in a match against Mexico. During her time with the national team, she played in four games and scored two goals in 2010, further establishing her reputation as a talented midfielder in women's football.
