Early Life and Position

Christian Träsch is a German former professional footballer known for his versatility on the field, primarily playing as a right-back or defensive midfielder. He began his football journey at TSV 1860 München II, where he honed his skills before making a significant leap into professional football.

Club Career

Träsch made his professional debut with VfB Stuttgart on February 3, 2008, against Schalke 04, quickly making a name for himself by scoring his first goal just months later with a stunning 25-meter volley against Werder Bremen. His impressive performances led to a contract extension with Stuttgart until 2012. In July 2011, he transferred to VfL Wolfsburg, where he enjoyed considerable success, including winning the DFB-Pokal in 2015. Träsch also had a brief stint with Wolfsburg's reserve team and later played for FC Ingolstadt 04 and Al Wasl FC before announcing his retirement in October 2020, having played over 240 matches in Germany's top two leagues.

International Career

On the international stage, Träsch represented Germany, earning his first cap during a tour of Asia in June 2009. He participated in ten matches for the national team, with his final appearance occurring in a thrilling 3–3 draw against Ukraine in November 2011.
