JK Narva Trans, commonly known as Narva Trans, is a professional football club based in Narva, Estonia. The club was founded in 1979 under the name Avtomobilist by the workers of the Motor Depot 13 in Narva. After a few years of fluctuating success, including a promotion to the Estonian SSR Championship in 1984 and subsequent relegations, the club changed its name to Autobaas in 1989 and returned to the top division once again.
Breakthrough
In 1992, the club rebranded as Narva Trans and became one of the founding members of the newly established Meistriliiga, Estonia's top football league. They finished their inaugural season in seventh place and quickly made a name for themselves by reaching the Estonian Cup final in the 1993–94 season, where they finished as runners-up.
