Early Life

Jorge Antônio Putinatti, known as Jorginho Putinatti, was born in Brazil and began his football journey in 1976 with his hometown club, Marília Atlético Clube. His early years in football laid the foundation for a career that would see him become a notable midfielder in Brazilian football.

Career

Jorginho's professional career spanned nearly two decades, during which he played for several prominent Brazilian clubs. He spent a significant portion of his career at Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras from 1979 to 1987, where he developed his skills as an offensive-minded midfielder. He also had stints with Fluminense F.C., S.C. Corinthians Paulista, and Grêmio FBPA, where he achieved notable success, including winning the 1989 Campeonato Gaúcho. In 1990, he took his talents to Japan, playing for Nagoya Grampus Eight until 1994, marking the end of his playing career.

International Career

On the international stage, Jorginho represented the Brazil national football team from 1983 to 1985, earning 16 caps and scoring two goals. He was part of the squad that reached the final of the 1983 Copa América, showcasing his talent on a continental level. Known for his versatility, Jorginho often played as a right winger but was also capable of taking on more central roles as an attacking midfielder or forward, making him a valuable asset to any team he played for.
