Early Life

Juan Carlos Villamayor Medina, born in Paraguay, is a former professional football player known for his defensive skills on the field. His journey in football began in the late 1980s, where he showcased his talent in various clubs across South America and beyond.

Career

Villamayor's professional career kicked off in 1989 when he played for Colchagua in the Chilean Segunda División. He later returned to Paraguay, joining Cerro Porteño from 1995 to 1997, before making a significant move to Brazil to play for S.C. Corinthians Paulista in 1996. His career saw him traverse multiple countries, including stints in Mexico with Celaya, where he notably played alongside Spanish international Emilio Butragueño in 1998.

In 1998, he had a brief spell with Club Olimpia before heading to Japan to play for Avispa Fukuoka. His time in Japan was followed by a return to South America, where he played for clubs like Rayo Vallecano in Spain and Chacarita Juniors in Argentina. Villamayor also had a second stint with Cerro Porteño in 2000. His career concluded with a period at Club Sport Colombia from 2005 to 2006. Throughout his career, he represented the Paraguay men's national football team from 1993 to 1997, contributing to the team's defensive lineup during international competitions.
