Early Life

Noritaka Hidaka was born on May 29, 1947, in Tokyo, Japan. He pursued his education at Rikkyo University, where he not only honed his skills in football but also made a mark in the sport by leading his university team to a notable second-place finish in the 1969 Emperor's Cup, a significant achievement for a university team in this prestigious tournament.

Career

After graduating from Rikkyo University, Hidaka joined Nippon Steel Yahata SC in 1971, where he played as a forward until his retirement in 1977. During his time at Nippon Steel, he made a significant impact, participating in 114 league matches and scoring 50 goals. His prowess on the field earned him a spot on the Japan men's national football team, where he debuted on September 14, 1972, in a match against South Korea. Hidaka continued to represent his country, playing in the 1974 World Cup qualification matches and accumulating a total of four caps for the national team until 1973.
