Ryota Moriwaki is a Japanese football player known for his role as a defender. His journey in football began in Japan, where he developed his skills and passion for the sport, eventually leading him to a professional career.

Career

Moriwaki's professional career took off when he joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 2005, where he played until 2012. During his time with the club, he contributed to their success, helping them secure the J1 League title in 2012 and the J2 League title in 2008, along with the Japanese Super Cup in 2008. After a brief stint with Ehime FC from 2006 to 2007, he moved to Urawa Red Diamonds in 2013, where he continued to excel, winning the AFC Champions League in 2017 and the J.League Cup in 2016.

Moriwaki also represented the Japan men's national football team, earning caps between 2011 and 2013. Notably, he was selected as a late replacement for the injured Gotoku Sakai in the 2011 Asian Cup finals, showcasing his readiness to step up for his country. After his time with Urawa, he played for Kyoto Sanga FC from 2020 to 2021 and returned to Ehime FC in 2022, continuing to make his mark in Japanese football.
