Early Life

Takuya Honda is a Japanese former football player known for his role as a midfielder. He began his football journey at Hosei University, where he honed his skills and prepared for a professional career.

Club Career

Honda's professional career kicked off in 2008 when he joined Shimizu S-Pulse, where he played until 2010. His talent quickly caught the attention of larger clubs, leading him to sign with Kashima Antlers from 2011 to 2013. After a brief return to Shimizu S-Pulse from 2013 to 2016, he continued his career with Montedio Yamagata starting in 2017. Throughout his club career, Honda demonstrated versatility and skill, contributing significantly to his teams.

National Team Career

In addition to his club success, Honda represented Japan on the international stage. He was part of the Japan national under-23 football team during the 2008 Summer Olympics, where he played as a defensive midfielder in two matches. His involvement with the national team also included a brief stint with the Japan men's national football team in 2011, showcasing his capabilities at the highest level of competition.
