Early Life

Thomas Bickel is a Swiss association football player known for his significant contributions to the sport as a midfielder. His football journey began in the early 1980s, and he quickly made a name for himself in the Swiss football scene.

Career

Bickel's professional career kicked off at FC Biel-Bienne, where he played from 1984 to 1985. His talent was soon recognized, leading him to join FC Zürich from 1985 to 1988. After his stint at Zürich, he moved to Grasshopper Club Zürich, where he played from 1988 until 1995, solidifying his reputation as a skilled midfielder. During this period, he also represented the Switzerland men's national football team from 1986 to 1995, earning numerous caps and contributing to the team's efforts on the international stage. In 1995, Bickel took his career abroad to Japan, where he played for Vissel Kobe until 1997.

Post-Career

After retiring from professional play, Thomas Bickel transitioned into a scouting role and currently serves as the chief scout for FC Zürich, where he continues to influence the sport by identifying and nurturing new talent.
