Early Life

Tsukasa Umesaki is a Japanese professional footballer known for his role as an attacking midfielder. He began his football journey in Oita, where he was nurtured through the youth system of Oita Trinita, eventually making his way to the top team in 2005. His debut in the J-League came on July 10, 2005, against Sanfrecce Hiroshima at the Oita "Big Eye" Stadium, marking the start of his professional career.

Career

Umesaki quickly established himself as a regular player during the 2006 season with Oita Trinita. In January 2007, he took a step into international football by joining French Ligue 2 side Grenoble Foot 38 on loan, although he returned to Oita before the loan period ended. His career took a significant turn when he signed with Urawa Red Diamonds on December 26, 2007, where he continued to showcase his skills on a larger stage.

On the international front, Umesaki represented Japan at various youth levels, including the U-20 national team during the 2007 U-20 World Cup, where he played all four matches and scored a goal against Scotland. He made his senior debut for the Japan national team on September 6, 2006, in a qualification match for the 2007 Asian Cup.

Legacy

Throughout his career, Umesaki has achieved notable success, including winning the AFC Champions League in 2017 and the J.League Cup in 2016 with Urawa Red Diamonds. His contributions to Japanese football, both at the club and international levels, have solidified his reputation as a talented midfielder.
