Yoshiro Moriyama is a former Japanese professional football player and current manager.
He began his professional career with Sanfrecce Hiroshima in 1991, where he played until 1995.
Moriyama played for Yokohama Flügels from 1996 to 1997 after leaving Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Yoshiro Moriyama was born on November 9, 1967, in Kumamoto, Japan. He pursued higher education at the University of Tsukuba, where he honed his skills in football, setting the stage for a professional career in the sport.
Career
Moriyama began his professional journey in 1991 when he joined Mazda, which later became known as Sanfrecce Hiroshima. During his time with the club, he made a significant impact, helping the team secure a second-place finish in the J1 League and reaching the finals of the Emperor's Cup in 1995. After five successful years, he transitioned to Yokohama Flügels in 1996, followed by a brief stint at Júbilo Iwata in 1998, and finally at Shonan Bellmare in 1999, where he retired at the end of the season.
In addition to his club career, Moriyama represented the Japan national team, making his debut on July 8, 1994, against Ghana. He played a total of seven matches for Japan that year and was part of the squad for the 1994 Asian Games.
Managerial Career
After retiring as a player, Moriyama shifted his focus to coaching. He has managed various youth teams within the Japan national football setup and took charge of the Sanfrecce Hiroshima U18 team. In November 2023, he was appointed as the manager of Vegalta Sendai in the J2 League, marking a new chapter in his football career as he continues to contribute to the sport he loves.
