Jun Amano

Early Life

Jun Amano was born in Miura, Kanagawa, Japan, where he began his journey in football. He spent his formative years in the youth system of Yokohama F. Marinos, a club that would later play a significant role in his professional career. Despite his early promise, Amano was unable to secure a spot on the first team in 2010, leading him to pursue his education and football at Juntendo University.

Career

Amano's professional career took off when he joined Yokohama F. Marinos, where he made a notable impact. He scored a last-minute winner against Gamba Osaka in the 2016 Emperor's Cup, showcasing his knack for crucial goals. His first league goal came in June 2017 against FC Tokyo, further establishing his presence in the team. In 2019, he was honored to wear the number 10 jersey, previously held by the legendary Shunsuke Nakamura.

In July 2019, Amano took his talents to Belgium, joining K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen on loan. His time there was cut short due to the pandemic and the club's subsequent bankruptcy, but he managed to score three goals in 24 appearances. In 2022, he ventured to South Korea, first with Ulsan HD FC, where he impressed by scoring a direct free kick in a friendly against Tottenham Hotspur. Later, he joined Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC in January 2023, continuing to develop his skills in the K League.

International Career

Amano made his debut for the Japan national football team in 2018 during a friendly match against Costa Rica. His international experience adds to his profile as a well-rounded midfielder, known for his powerful left-footed kicks and strategic play, inspired by football great David Silva.
