Hirase's professional journey started in 1996 when he joined the Kashima Antlers, where he quickly made a name for himself. By 1999, he was a regular on the team, contributing to their remarkable success in 2000 when the Antlers clinched all three major titles in Japan: the J1 League, J.League Cup, and Emperor's Cup.
