Early Life and Background

Albin Pelak is a former Bosnian association football player known for his significant contributions to the sport in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Born in the early 1980s, Pelak rose through the ranks of youth football, showcasing his talent and leadership abilities from a young age. He was part of a highly regarded youth squad in Sarajevo, which included several players who would go on to have successful careers in European football.

Club Career

Pelak's professional career began at NK Varteks, where he played from 1991 to 1997. He then moved to FK Sarajevo, where he became a fan favorite and earned praise for his work ethic and leadership on the field. His time at Sarajevo was marked by a controversial move to FK Željezničar, where he signed despite previously promising supporters of Sarajevo that he would never play for their rivals. Pelak also had brief stints abroad, including time at Cerezo Osaka in Japan and GNK Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia, although he did not stay long at either club. His career continued with several clubs, including FK Željezničar Sarajevo and FK Olimpik, where he played until 2010.

International Career

On the international stage, Pelak represented Bosnia and Herzegovina, earning two caps between 2002 and 2005. He made his debut in a friendly match against Serbia and Montenegro and later participated in a World Cup qualification match against San Marino. Despite a limited international career, Pelak's contributions to his national team were significant during a formative period for Bosnian football.
