The club was founded by a group of dedicated individuals including Ramiz Krilašević and the Okerić brothers, who worked tirelessly to organize training equipment and kits. Under the management of Slobodan Rajević, Olimpik quickly made a name for itself, winning the Asim Ferhatović "Hase" Memorial Cup in futsal the same year. They advanced through regional competitions, showcasing their talent by scoring 28 goals and conceding only one in their initial matches.
Rise and Challenges
Olimpik's competitive spirit led them to the First League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, where they faced various challenges, including relegation in the 1995–96 season. However, they bounced back, winning the First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina three times, with notable victories in 1996–97, 2008–09, and 2019–20. The club also achieved success in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup, clinching the title in the 2014–15 season.
Decline and Dissolution
Despite their successes, Olimpik faced difficulties in maintaining their position in the top tier. After being relegated following the 2016–17 season, they played in the second tier until their promotion back to the Premier League. Unfortunately, the club was dissolved in 2021, marking the end of an era for a team that had been a significant part of Bosnian football history. Throughout its existence, FK Olimpik was recognized for its organization and contributions to the sport, earning accolades such as the Award for Best Organized Club in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2010.
