Formation

Racing Club, a prominent Argentine sports club, was officially established on March 25, 1903, under the name Foot Ball Racing Club. The club quickly affiliated with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) in 1905, marking the beginning of its competitive journey in the lower division championships. After a challenging start, Racing achieved promotion to the Primera División in 1910 by defeating the renowned Boca Juniors in the final.

Breakthrough

The 1910s marked a golden era for Racing Club, as the team secured an unprecedented seven consecutive league titles from 1913 to 1919, a record that remains unmatched to this day. During this decade, Racing also claimed nine national cups and two Rioplatense cups, totaling 18 titles. This remarkable success earned the club the nickname "Academia," reflecting its innovative creole style of play that set the standard for Argentine football and influenced its rivals.
